top ratings for their individual
performances during the Region 7 UIL Solo
and Ensemble Contest held Saturday, February
18th, at Crowley High School. Those who

To qualify for the state contest, a student
is required to earn the top rating while
performing by memory a selection from the
most difficult category of UIL solos. State
qualifiers will perform at the University of
Texas in Austin this May.
Additionally, fifteen (15) students
qualified for the state solo & ensemble
contest by earning a superior rating as
members of class one ensembles (the most
difficult category). Those ensemble members
advancing to the state contest are listed
below the chamber group in which they
performed.
